Spring Fashion Trends to Invest In

With spring officially upon us, it’s time to shift gears a bit and infuse our wardrobes with some fresh pieces and pops of color. Fashion Month saw an ode to the ’80s and bold dressing in the form of colors, sequins, mixed prints, pronounced shoulders and sleeves, and more.

With so many trends, it can get overwhelming when trying to decide which you should invest your hard-earned money in. I’ve rounded up five Spring 2018 trends that I think can easily be translated IRL.

’80s-inspired: Chances are you already own some ’80s-inspired pieces, so raid your own (or your older sibling’s) closet and don that vintage Levi’s denim jacket and ruffled skirt.

Pastels: Lavender is taking center stage (remember my lavender power suit?), but don’t discount pink, blue, yellow, and green in everything from your intimates to your shoes.

Mixed Prints: Think plaid, polka dots, and vintage florals. Don’t be afraid to mix your favorite bold prints!

Fringe: Whether you decide to wear it in the form of a bag or a dress, you’ll be way on trend.

Belt Bags: Wear it around your waist or sling it over your shoulder for a sporty, yet oh-so-chic look.
